Schira: Milan agree terms with goalkeeper who has 18 league clean sheets – the figures

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan have agreed personal terms with the man they want to replace Gianluigi Donnarumma if he does not renew, a report claims.

German portal SPORT1 (via MilanNews) are reporting that Milan have in fact won the race for Mike Maignan of Lille, overcoming the competition from Borussia Dortmund. The French goalkeeper has been ‘secured’ in the event that Gigio Donnarumma does not renew his contract, with Juve the favourite to land the Italy international.

According to the latest from journalist Nicolo Schira on Twitter, Maignan has agreed personal terms with Milan on the basis of a contract until 2026 at €2m net per season plus add-ons, therefore a fixed total of €10m net.

The Rossoneri are ready to finalise the deal with Lille if Donnarumma doesn’t extend his contract and it seems as though Maignan is a good calibre of replacement, given the French goalkeeper has amassed 18 clean sheets this season in Ligue 1 to help Les Dogues’ title bid.
