Schira: Milan smile as they could pocket €6m from Frosinone midfielder’s transfer

By Isak Möller -

AC Milan are keeping a close eye on the situation of Marco Brescianini, who looks set to leave Frosinone this summer. As most of you might know, the midfielder used to be part of the Rossoneri’s academy and even first team on occasion.

Milan parted ways with Brescianini last summer as he was sold for a mere €200k to Frosinone. However, as highlighted today by Nico Schira, the Rossoneri included a 50% resale clause in the deal and that’s partly why the actual transfer fee was so low.

This decision is especially important today as Atalanta and Napoli are battling it out over the 24-year-old, after what was an impressive first season with Frosinone. The latter are asking for a fee of €10-12m to sell and Milan could thus pocket €5-6m this summer.

It would allow the Rossoneri to register an even higher capital gain for the midfielder and it could be an important boost on the mercato. It could perhaps prompt them to increase the offer for Youssouf Fofana, who remains the primary target to reinforce the midfield.

In any case, Milan are watching the Brescianini negotiations closely and as soon as there is an update on the matter, they will know about it.

    1. If you are asking how Milan is getting more for Brescianini than Saelesmaeker. I will say you are not right but also you are not entirely wrong.

All this money for Brescianini is going to be pure profit given he came from the youth academy. So that’s a major difference.

Saelesmaeker is on the other hand a asset which was brought in by paying 12 million euros. So what ever you get for him you have to consider the fee paid and his wages. I think there is a probability that he goes to a PL team for more than 12-13 million. So a nice profit can be made.

Milan have already shifted CDK 22 million to be paid in installments, Messias for 3 million and with the potential of getting Saelesmaeker and Brescianini out for a combined fee of something close to or ever 20 million is a good piece of business.

Personally I always liked Brescianini, he looked more ready for Serie A football than Pobega. So I am not surprised he is being chased by Atalanta and Napoli.

  1. I meant the total fee. He’s nothing special. He’s probably better than Pobega, but I wouldn’t want either. Mediocre.

  2. Please stop using this “Milan smile” is the titles. Sounds quite stupid.

First of all there is nothing to smile about currently, secondly it reminds of the brainless tart Furlani.
