Schira: Milan prepare new attempt for Kessie’s renewal – figures of first offer

By Isak Möller -

Franck Kessie’s contract will expire in 2022 and Milan certainly don’t want to lose the Ivorian for free. Work is thus underway to renew the contract and an offer has already been put on the table by the Rossoneri.

According to Nicolo Schira, Paolo Maldini presented an offer worth €4m until 2026 in their meeting with Kessie’s agent back in March. However, the response was a demand of €5.5m per year which is quite the distance.

However, the feeling is that both parties are willing to compromise to get a deal over the line. Per Schira, Paolo Maldini is preparing a new attempt to get the ‘yes’ from the player’s agent and thus secure a new contract.

If the fixed part of the first offer isn’t increased, then the Rossoneri could perhaps include some bonuses that are easy to reach for the midfielder. In any case, it’s clear that Milan have no intention of letting their star leave.
