Schira: Milan to miss out on €7m as full-back is set to return after suffering relegation

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are set to miss out on a decent chunk of transfer revenue as full-back Andrea Conti will return from his loan at Parma, a journalist has claimed.

In the January transfer window, Andrea Conti left Milan for Parma after failing to get consistent playing time. An option to buy was included in the loan, which would become an obligation if they achieved Serie A survival, with the Rossoneri hoping to sell him permanently.

However, Parma have in fact suffered relegation to Serie B as a result of their defeat against Torino last night, and that spells bad news for Milan’s hopes of offloading Conti, who arrived from Atalanta back in 2017.

According to Nicolo Schira on Twitter, Milan will indeed miss out on the €7m they would have got from Conti’s permanent sale, as he will return at the end of his loan spell as the option to buy will not be exercised.
