Schira: Milan to miss out on Malmö star as Atalanta close in on €8m operation

By Isak Möller -

Milan have made it very clear in recent years that they want to focus on young players, determined to build a strong team for the future. And as a result of this, they are always looking for talents on the market.

However, as reported by Nico Schira, the Rossoneri could miss out on one of their many targets, namely Anel Ahmedhodizc. As was revealed by Calciomercato.com back in November, they had been keeping an eye on the young centre-back.

Atalanta was always a step ahead, though, and have been negotiating with Malmö in the last few months. Per the reporter, the Bergamo side are now just details away from welcoming the 22-year-old in an €8m operation.

Milan are, of course, focused on the final eight games of the season and are also planning to redeem Fikayo Tomori for €28m this summer. Therefore, it makes sense that they didn’t proceed with their interest in the Bosnian international.
