It is vital to watch young talents ahead of the mercato as it is to watch senior players, and AC Milan are lining up a move for an Eredivisie gem.

Despite the need to impact the first team situation, Milan also have a focus on improving their squad moving forward, and the way to do that is via young talent. Something which the Rossoneri are looking to actively invest in with the Milan Futuro set-up now in place.

Of course, there are some good players within the system already, and the Diavolo have already brought in a young star from the Netherlands in Silvano Vos and it seems they will move for another star in the making in the summer.

According to Marco Palma, a scout, the Rossoneri have taken a liking to Zepiqueno Redmond of Feyenoord, as he told TMW Radio this afternoon, and Milan News have relayed his take on the situation.

“Dutch centre-forward for Feyenoord. Star of the Under 21 team with whom he had very high scoring averages. Physical centre-forward, very good basic technique, opportunist in front of goal and also gifted with excellent speed.

“Very mobile on the attacking front, he communicates with his teammates and makes excellent lay-offs. He has a very powerful and precise shot from outside. His performances have brought him up to the first team group with whom he made his debut in the Eredivise and in the Champions League.

“With his contract expiring on 30 June, Milan are looking for an agreement with the player to make an excellent signing on a free transfer.”

It is also worth noting that the report compares him to Victor Boniface, so it would certainly be a different mould of striker than what is already at the club.

  1. this kind of “get free to sell high” transfer, we don’t need.
buy player who can upgrade the team quality to compete in Scudetto & UCL.
this management won nothing but want profit, ridiculous..

    1. When will people understand, this approach is nothing to do with ‘making profit’. You think they spent a Billion USD on a club so they can try to make a few M a year on player sales?

They want the club to be sustainable. Guess what the teams that buy first-team ready players also do… they also invest in younger ones, many of whom are later sold. They then use that money to fund their first team.

You want them to buy UCL-calibre players? We’re not even in that competition.

Spending has not been the issue with us for the last few years – we’re one of the highest spenders in the league – decisions and lack of strategy are the issue.

      1. “You want them to buy UCL-calibre players? We’re not even in that competition. ”
        Indeed.
Thank to our excellent management and investment policies, we successfully managed to get ourselves out of the UCL and made sure not to play it next season.
Meanwhile, inter “who is about to be bankrupt”, “who is a bad model which shouldn’t be followed” is knocking on their 4th UCL and 2nd final in 3 years.
But history will always forget title winners and remember the clubs which were “sustainable”.

    2. Sure, because all the heavy investment in players shows they’re only interested in selling on players for profit.

    3. Inter got their former keeper onana on a free transfer and sold him for 57kdollars after 1yr and then got sonmma their current keeper for £6k, that’s a very good business and sports sustainability of inter.
It’s not all about spending big buying UCL class of players all d time, it could be wasteful. Going for this young talents cheaply could be very sustainability for d club for planning and making/raising funds available for necessary spending
