Alvaro Morata of AC Milan

Romano: ‘Sealed in the next hours’ – Galatasaray in ‘advanced talks’ to sign Morata

Alvaro Morata joined AC Milan in the summer, but it seems that he is already heading towards an exit after just six months, which is not a good look.

There have been several of the summer signings reportedly heading elsewhere already. Emerson Royal was initially a target for Galatasaray before he was injured in the Champions League game against Girona.

Strahinja Pavlovic’s services have also been sought from Turkey, but with Fenerbahce looking at the Serbian central defender.

Gala’s interest has also been prominent in the attack, and Luka Jovic was a rumoured target for the Turkish outfit at one point, but it seems that they have a new idea in mind now.

According to Fabrizio Romano this afternoon, the Turkish club are in ‘advanced talks’ with Milan over the signing of Morata, despite him only joining the club six months ago as well. In his tweet, the journalist states that a move could be wrapped up ‘in the next hours’.

It would be presumed that this deal would potentially unlock things for Santiago Gimenez to arrive if that is still feasible. However, the fact that four summer signings have all been involved in discussions to leave the club already is really poor.

        1. In a 2 striker system we will need players… Morata supporting striker role is helpful in those situations… just cause he doesn’t score every game doesn’t mean he has no value… even more the experience he brings…

You guys think anyone that doesn’t outscore Inter duo are trash…

          1. King22, he doesn;t have to outscore them, but he has made 5 goals… that’s not many. and the experience isn’t helping so far.

          2. from 4-5 strikers you can’t have all high level quality… Morata staying does more good than letting him go now…

Is Taremi and Arnautovic better than Morata, if anyone here actually says yes they are really delusional… the problem isn’t the subs, it’s the starting 11 that lacks proper players… if anyone check what I have been writing for the past 6-7 months is that this team doesn’t have that final 5-6 players that would change the situation…

We over-use Fofana and his recent decline is fact of that, we still have to fix RB role…

Theo issue is super confusing, and I really thought Sergio could have fixed his situation, but he keeps struggling for no reason…

We don’t use Jimenez enough as fullback…

sub-wingers are $hit, Okafor and Chukwueze (I had enough of making excuses for the Nigerian, can’t do anything in the opposition final 3rd)…

no proper finishers (Abraham was a cope-out signing, rather we still had Alexis)…

Now add proper wingers, CDM, RB, STs (6 players)… now what did this management do this winter? 34yo Walker on loan… gaslighting Feynoord… “Bennacer” is enough delusion…

Get Gnoto, Luca, Ricci, give Sergio either Pepe or Galeno from Porto, Gimenez ffs or someone better…

We can’t cope-out in every move we make and then think, oh why are things not working… then blame everything on different players everyweek

    1. Morata the mentally unstable manchild is the number one problem. You can’t have grown up children in the team as experienced players and what some clowns wrote a “leader”. He is nor leader or a man, or mentally stable. I didn’t know about this, but then he admitted it publicly and proved he has serious issues multiple times. Get rid of him asap.

    1. Let’s face it, the season is over, we shouldn’t have our hopes to go far in CL,only objective is to qualify to CL for continuity. For now let’s clean house and that means players and management… This can no longer be tolerated and that starts with morata , Royale, Calabria, Tomori,Jovic and all those who either don’t have qualities or the motivation

  1. Wow I didn’t see this coming. But I don’t understand it. He could have been useful as a second striker. But I hope this means they’re going for a top midfielder and striker

    1. This.

“However, the fact that four summer signings have all been involved in discussions to leave the club already is really poor.”

This is embarrassing and completely unbecoming a club the stature of AC Milan. Last night, this and so many other things make me believe that we’re officially back in the Banter Era.

  2. Could be bc we’re signing Gimenez and Morata doesn’t want to play the role of backup. OR We’re offloading anyone to raise funds since we lost out on ~€15M from CL and the Emerson sale fell through.

  3. Sudah Saatnya Si Amerika Out juga sebagai pemilik Milan. Percuma kalau Milan masih pemiliknya Si Amerika. Pemain yang diinginkan Conceicao tidak akan di belikan

  4. It would be funny if we sell Morata and end up getting no striker meaning we’ll be stuck with Abraham and Jović for the remaining of the season.

  5. I’m more than happy morata is attitude was big problem the guy plays less and talk more every second he is complaining he can go we don’t need such a rude person in our club

  6. Amazing that 4 of your summer signings you have contemplated pushing out already this January window (Royal, Morata, Pavlovic, and Abraham). We’ve had 3 coaches in less than a year. Strong rumors transfering out multiple players from last year’s window (Okafor/Chukuweze/Jovic/RLC).

What should that tell you as an owner about your current management’s ability to provide proper players, managers, etc. to your investment?

  7. Se serait génial, car ces joueurs là n’apportent rien de spécial à l’équipe. Nettoyons le terreur pour des joueurs qui ont des mentalités de combattants ey de vainqueurs.

  8. I’m tired of this American is this how they are managing a team, now if u sell Alvaro Morata who will replace him i bet u milan will not even get gimenez remember that he got injured last night our striker will now be Abraham and jovic then we are suck, we need reinforcement if they can’t spend then they should sell to Arab people and leave Forza milan.

      1. I have honestly never seen a team try to unload every single player addition from the previous transfer period. This is astonishing, this locker room has a cancer (or several) and needs to be purged following with the management.

  9. Who writes this stuff? There is zero chance this is happening. Or maybe I should say….I don’t believe there’s a chance this could even happen

    1. Turkish league sides have been grabbing Serie A rejects left and right in the last years.
And Morata has been a super-bust. Doesn’t fit at all into the team.

    2. Romano is generally a reputable source. If he says it, that means there are talks, not necessarly sure a transfer will happen though.
Now it will be funny if we sell Morata and end up with no new striker.

      1. No way. Yea Romano is usually reliable. If this is true, nah bro I’ll have to see this to believe it. But with smoke there’s usually fire. The little respect or credit I’m giving these guys will surely now vanish

  10. I feel bad for Morata. He blew up his marriage to come to Milan, and now finds himself in a circus, having a poor season, maybe moving to Turkey after 6 months, and all without his family. Surely he considers the move a mistake.

    1. He did not. He is mentally unstable, that is what blew his marriage. Remember when he joined and the major of the town welcomed him as the new citizen of their town? And he moved and cried how his privacy was affected etc. That is why his wife left him, because he is a whining mentally unstable coward. Not a man.

  11. HAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHA!!!!

The brilliant signing to be our STARTING striker in the summer gone after 6 months for half the price we paid???? LOLOLOLO. You cannot make this garbage up. The man management picked to lead the line (despite his decline in form and advancing age) lol. All because he was a partly 13M. Brilliant. Now we want to dump him for peanuts. Wonderful. As I had said when we signed Morata – he is a great BACKUP – not a starter but we are owned by RedTurd and we love bargain basement deals. Well you get what you pay for.

I cannot believe we went from M&M to this fkn TRASH management group who have ZERO clue on how to build a winning team. Calamity of constant errors and mistakes. We are AC Milan not Toulouse last I checked. How a former world class striker like Zlatan couldn’t see this coming is shocking – but I guess when you are working only half the time things get missed 🤣

What an EMBARRASSING club we have become under this idiot Cardinale. Sell the team you a$$ 🤡

    1. This probably isn’t even the worst of it.. i bet you there are more idiotic moves on the horizon.

They are already admitting defeat after defeat on the market and the construction of the team. So instead of actually trying to fix it by bring in someone who’s competent enough to fix it (DS) they are going to continue to “cook” on the market….

      Un Real …

    2. You do know that selling the club changes nothing, right? Or are you really that dense you don’t understand how things work?

      1. Hahahahahah this guy is a genius. Yes, changing the club owner doesn’t change anything. Just saying that you can hear how stupid you are. Stop being that stupid.

        1. It changes nothing. Can owners put money into the club? No, which isn’t even the issue at Milan. Now tell me which successful club owner is going to take over Milan and appoint the right people in management? None, because under UEFA rules, owners cannot have a controlling influence over more than one club that competes in UEFA competitions, so there are no successful club owners that could take over Milan. All that would or could happen even if the club was sold is we get another newb in charge. Does that guarantee success? Of course it doesn’t. You’re complaining because you’re toxic. You are the Emerson of fans.

        2. I’ll repeat what I told the other Emerson. Can owners put money into the club? Which successful club owner is going to take over Milan and appoint the right people in management? None, because under UEFA rules, owners cannot have a controlling influence over more than one club that competes in UEFA competitions, so there are no successful club owners that could take over Milan.

          1. I can’t believe you use this brain to cross the road.

I can’t believe you use this Redbird dense brain to do your everyday living.

  12. Funny how Zlatan kept saying that this team is stronger than last year’s. Then why are they actively trying to sell all the new players after just 6 months?
I also remember him saying that Cardinale told him to spend more (when Morata was bought), but he bragged that he told him that he’ll only spend what is needed. Needed for what? 10th place?

  13. If they crucified Maldini because of CdK’s case (which turns out to be remarkable talent in the end), the one(s) who run the last mercato should be publicly executed at minimum

    1. I third this motion.
Maldini was demonized for less, and wanting what was best for the club.

Yet this incompetents have wasted and committed much worse crimes against humanity and yet justice still. Remains blind. The level of incompetency and nonchalancy at the club deserves an inquisition.

And some. People still try to downplay or say they have not done much worse.
      Smdh🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️
Chukwueze, Emerson, morata, musah, this four are enough for the hangman noose

    2. Maldini was fired not because of CDK but because he wanted to club to economically match the sporting progress of the club on the pitch. Maldini insisted in order for milan to take the next step we have to increase our spending to match it. Cardinale disagree and wants us to run the famous “moneyball” project.

  14. This is actually embarrassing. We heaped out and got Morata in the summer as our striker after looking for a ‘top striker’ and 6 months on were admitting it was a huge mistake

    1. We only signed Morata because it turned that he had a release clause for 13 mil. The management could say this and that. But that’s the only reason.

  15. Wish i can say what an embarrassment for the management, but clowns don’t get embarrassed. Why was he bought in the first place, together with emmerson?!.

  16. This is how abysmal our transfer strategy is. We buy players in summer only to get rid of them in January. You could bring Guardiola to coach this team and we still wouldn’t be much better off. It is such a badly built squad that coach is only part of the problem…

  17. YES, GET THIS MENTALLY UNSTABLE COWARD OUT OF THIS TEAM. He is the root of the problem. Whiner and manchild that is mentally unstable shouldn’t have even been signed for a club like Milan. I didn’t know Morata was on the verge of a mental institution but the scouts should have known. He left Spain and Madrid due to that, him making up things that didn’t happen and everyone attacking him. No dude, it is in your head. Time to see a proper doctor and stop blaming others. And leave Milan, please.

    1. He was separated from his wife so of course he was having issues on the pitch. When your hit puberty and grow up, maybe you’ll have a better understanding of these things.

      1. What? It has nothing to do with what you wrote. He is mentally unstable. Which part needs explaining to you? Remember when he cried and moved to another house for that major welcoming him to their community?

Thankfully he will leave the club, that whiny coward.

P.S. I know the most intelligent people like you only have one option, to attack the person not the argument. That is why you are obviously top of intelligence, evident in every comment.

        1. I explained why he was struggling. Obviously given your lack of emotional maturity, you don’t understand how that would impact his performances.

  18. I think the problem is that Milan are not for the supporters anymore as a football team but a business company starting from directors and board and continue with the players that we have .I remember era galliani berlusconi when they saw a good player for Milan every time they bought it what ever the price was .

  19. Morata has been too busy playing as an extra midfielder to score, because this management can not recognize obvious problems staring us in the face and address them… ie quality defensive mids …

They are trying to offload Emerson AND Morata, both of whom cam last summer. I mean if that doesn’t scream “we don’t know what we’re doing” …

    1. Sorry man, but can you tell me what has been keeping him from scoring his entire career? He is an attacker with 1 goal in games. That is his stat. There are midfielders that score more. Suddenly he would score 50 goals if he didn’t have to defend? He can’t score 20 goals in a season when is at his best. He never did, never will be able…

    2. 100% correctour midfield above all so poorly built. Can’t wait for cardinale’s next speech to investors that Milan will be worth $10 billion. Can’t wait for the day red bird sells the club or defaults on the loan.

  20. He’s had marriage problems. He just got back with his wife this week. She didn’t want to live in Italy. Good for them that he’s leaving, but we’re going to be short on numbers.

  21. Moratta should be used as a backup striker if we have the funds. So far he is a flop no question, but he could be useful on the bench (mostly for his defensive contribution admittingly).

But what we really need right now is to CALM THE F’ DOWN. The players are crumbling under the pressure, and while you could argue that they’re professionals and should be able to handle it, nobody in the club is helping in shielding them for this. It could be Zlatan or the coach, or both, but someone should just sit everyone together and tell them to go out and play like there’s no crowd and no reporters watching them. Probably an old fashion retreat could do the trick

    1. Sure, after the retreat fofana will play like pirlo, reinders like kaka, musah like gattuso, emmerson like maldini on the right. Right on.

      1. More fickle than Premier league fans??

I think. Not. Please know what you are talking about.

Milan fans the most fickle. In all. Of Europe. What balderdash. 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤷‍♂️

  22. After the game against Parma, and, last night’s poor showing, I expected drastic and decisive changes. However, Morata is not the problem. Infact, he is the best we have upfront. Our strikers don’t get good service from the middle, and the wings. Leao cannot make a good pass with his right leg, and Chukwueze plays like a kid just learning to play football. Also, our midfielders cannot mark, hence, Morata has to come back, every now and then, to help. You don’t need to be his fan to notice that. With the way we play, even Gimenez, will struggle to score 15 goals in a season, if indeed we sign him. Aside Mike, the rest are not performing on a consistent level. Yesterday, our defense was exposed so many times, even before Musah’s sending off. Even if Conceicao leaves, it won’t change anything. The players need to do better than they are doing at the moment. So we may offload Morata, even permanently, and still not get the best from our dream striker.

  23. I really respect Morata, he’s done loads for the clubs and country he’s played for. He’s struggling this year, maybe because of the changes in his personal life or because he’s fatigued from a full season of Simeone followed by playing every game of the Euros and then being expected to lead a poor Milan team. He’s getting slated by fans but he’s an excellent player I hope gets back to his best.
