The 2021/22 season of Serie A will begin today as Inter will face Genoa and Verona will face Sassuolo. AC Milan, on the other hand, will start their season with the final game of the round on Monday.
The Rossoneri have done well on the transfer market, with a few more signings still to come, and the feeling is positive. Their opener against Sampdoria most likely won’t be easy, especially since it’s away from home, but they are up for it.
On their front page, Gazzetta Dello Sport wrote the following about the start of the season: “The season of champions. From the Euros to Serie A, let the party continue”. Corriere Dello Sport had a similar line: “As champions. Season starts after the Euros triumph: Serie A rediscovers its fans”.
