SM: Sell out crowd will watch Salzburg-Milan – how many away fans will be present

AC Milan will get their 2022-23 European campaign underway tonight in Austria as they face off against Red Bull Salzburg, and they will be backed by a sold out away sector.

Milan will be hoping to do much better than they did upon their return to the Champions League last season in which they finished bottom of an admittedly tough group involving Liverpool, Atletico Madrid and Porto after seven years away from the competition.

According to our colleagues over at SempreMilan.it, Pioli’s side will be backed by 1,500 Rossoneri supporters who will fill the away sector that was made available to them at the Red Bull Arena in Salzburg.

It will be a fantastic atmosphere generally too as the 30,000 seats that the stadium holds have been sold out for days now. Milan will meet a fellow young squad and will have to be good at managing the flow of the team, given how much intensity Salzburg play with.
