Serafini believes biggest challenge still awaits Tare: “Selling is more difficult”

In addition to signings, Igli Tare will also focus a lot on sales this summer, with several outcasts to part ways with. This will also be the big challenge, as highlighted by Luca Serafini.

AC Milan completed their first summer signing yesterday as Samuele Ricci signed his contract with the club. Luka Modric is expected to follow, while negotiations remain ongoing for Ardon Jashari. In short, there is a lot happening on the incoming front.

Having said that, Milan will also have to focus a lot on sales this summer. Using the midfield as an example, the likes of Yacine Adli and Ismael Bennacer will have to be sold, while Yunus Musah and Tommaso Pobega could also leave the club.

Serafini highlights the biggest challenge

In his latest editorial for MilanNews, the well-known pundit Luca Serafini discussed various topics with regard to Milan’s mercato. He made it clear that selling players will be the biggest challenge for Tare this summer, with the Rossoneri in need of some cash.

“The fact is, as mercato precedents teach us, that selling is more difficult than buying, especially when you need to sell. It will be important to respect the value of the players and avoid letting them leave at discount prices. At the cost of keeping some, of course,” he stated.

It remains to be seen how Tare will fare on this front, but Serafini is certainly right in saying that it will be a difficult task for the director and Milan this summer.
