Serafini urges Krunic to ‘dare more’ given recent success: “Extraordinary balancer”

Rade Krunic has been an important player for Stefano Pioli this season, especially in the last few months, but the feeling is that he can do even better. This is exactly what MilanTV pundit Luca Serafini has argued.

The Bosnian midfielder has always been a reserve at Milan but after the stellar performances against Spurs, his starting candidacy really became a thing. And the 4-0 win over Napoli showcased his importance yet again.

Speaking to MilanTV, as cited by MilanNews, Serafini shared his thoughts on the midfield department. He urged Krunic to dare more as the quality is there, while also praising the 29-year-old for his ability to balance the game.

“Krunic, Bennacer and Tonali? They were fundamental against Napoli and I was amazed that Spalletti let himself get wrapped up like that. Krunic should and could dare more in terms of quality, to me it seems like he sometimes holds back in his play.

“In his last season at Empoli, he scored 5 goals and provided 8 assists. This is missing but apart from that he’s an extraordinary balancer,” Serafini stated.

Krunic is expected to start in Milan’s clash against Napoli on Wednesday and he should be in a deep-lying role again (alongside Sandro Tonali). There will be fluidity between the three midfielders, though, that is for sure.
