Serafini says Milan need to ‘mortify their opponents’ amid slight leap in standings

Thanks to their win against Empoli, and the efforts of Torino against Inter, AC Milan extended the gap down to their city rivals to four points. This is something they must take advantage of, Luca Serafini argues.

Just nine games remain at the season and looking at the standings, it’s safe to say that the Rossoneri have a very good chance of winning the Scudetto. There is still a long way to go, of course, but they have the momentum.

Speaking on Carlo Pellegatti’s Youtube channel, MilanTV pundit and journalist Luca Serafini shared his thoughts on the season finale. He stated that the Rossoneri need to show their strength against their upcoming opponents.

“Each game is fundamental and important. Now that they [Milan] have made a small leap, they have to try to mortify their opponents by showing them their strength. After the break there is Atalanta-Napoli and Juventus-Inter, so someone will lose points. They [Milan] need to have the positive energy moving forward, without looking back. So Milan in Cagliari must think only of themselves,” he stated.

Milan’s next game is against Cagliari on Sunday and it will be a crucial game, seeing as dropping points now would be an invitation for the other Scudetto teams. Hopefully, they will claim all three points once again.

  1. I’m expecting a draw for the inter and Napoli games against their respective opponents. It’s a great opportunity to extend our lead once again.

Let them not mess things up against cagliari
