Serafini rules out Milan move for Chelsea winger amid hints from ‘authoritative voices’

Hakim Ziyech has been linked with AC Milan for quite some time now but ever since his World Cup success, the rumours have cooled down. And there is good reason for that, as Luca Serafini highlights.

The right-wing position is one of Milan’s weak links and many believed Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara would intervene in January. From what is filtering, however, no signings will be made next month (bar a goalkeeper due to Maignan’s injury).

In his latest editorial for MilanNews, Luca Serafini decided to put an end to the Ziyech rumours. The latter are simply made up and not based on any concrete facts, based on what is filtering from Milan.

There is a lot of talk about Ziyech, supposedly super-sponsored by Stefano Pioli. However, we know the Moroccan’s age and salary well and frankly, not only my personal feelings, but some authoritative voices lead me to cross his name off the shopping list,” he wrote.

It remains to be seen what will happen in January, but it’s looking pretty likely that a new goalkeeper will be the only arrival for the Rossoneri. Stefano Pioli, along with the management, believes what he has now is sufficient.
