The 2025-26 Italian Serie A season gets underway on Saturday, August 23rd, and will feature several marquee players on different rosters.

With 20 clubs playing in the current Italian Serie A league, numerous transfers were made during this offseason. CB Sam Beukema left Bologna and arrived in Napoli for €31m in July, making it one of the most expensive transfers in club history. The defending champions also kept their coffers open for LW Noa Lang, shelling out €25m to acquire him from PSV Eindhoven.
Inter Milan paid a combined €46m to Luis Henrique and Ange-Yoan Bonny to strengthen the middle of the field. Petar Sučić was another big transfer as a defensive midfield presence at €14m.
Juventus spent €60m to add a pair of right wingers, Francisco Conceição and Nico González. Other personnel were added behind them in the defensive zone, including goalkeeper Michele Di Gregorio from Monza. Juventus’ total expenditure this offseason was a whopping €118.5m.
AC Milan busied itself with help in the midfield department. Ardon Jashari and Samuele Ricci cost €36m and €23m respectively. LB Pervis Estupiñán was acquired from Brighton for another €17m.
Atalanta BC was another busy spender in the Italian Serie A offseason. Their most expensive player was 24-year-old Odilon Kossounou, who cost €20m after leaving Germany’s Leverkusen. LB Honest Ahanor and LW Kamaldeen Sulemana each cost €17m, with Ahanor leaving Genoa to join a contender.
AS Roma went outside of Italy to invest in their right back and central midfield positions. 21-year-old Brazilian, Wesley, set them back €25m, while Neil El Aynaoui cost €23.5m.
ACF Fiorentina, who placed sixth in the 2024-25 Italian Serie A table, attacked their central midfield position with three new signings. This was led by €15m for Simon Sohm, acquiring him from Parma, and another €13.5m for Nicolò Fagioli from Juventus. Albert Gudmundsson was the only non-midfield asset acquired, fething €13m to play second striker.
Lazio, another club that finished inside the top ten last season, made Nicolò Rovella their main priority this offseason. The defensive midfielder left Juventus for a €17m fee and €30m market valuation.
Bologna spent over €10m on one player, CB Martin Vitík, while acquiring another centre-back, Nicolò Casale, for an additional €6.5m fee.
Como wound up with a €104m expenditure this offseason. Their primary acquisition was LW Jesús Rodriguez, paying the 19-year-old Spaniard €22.5m. Right winger Nicolas Kühn was signed from Celtic for another €19m. Martin Baturina, Jayden Addai, and Máximo Perrone each fetched at least €13m as notable transfers for this club during the offseason.
Cagliari dropped €12m on CF Roberto Piccoli and €8m on GK Elia Caprile. This was likely due to finishing last season with a -16 goal differential, surrendering 56 goals.
In summary, Sam Beukema, Francisco Conceição, Nico González, Luis Henrique, Ange-Yoan Bonny, Wesley, Odilon Kossounou, Ardon Jashari, and Samuele Ricci were the biggest Italia A Serie transfers based on their market value this offseason.
