Serie A and Champions League: the hectic schedule of the top four teams

AC Milan are in the middle of a very hectic schedule and this means Stefano Pioli will have to rely on some of his alternatives. However, the Rossoneri are certainly not alone in having a tough next two weeks.

As a result of the Champions League, as well as a mid-week Serie A round, Milan will play four games in just 16 days. They will start with Hellas Verona tomorrow afternoon, having already faced Newcastle on Tuesday evening after the derby on Saturday.

In other words, the hectic schedule is not just starting but has already made itself known. For Milan, Pioli will have to make some rotation to the XI and that should be possible both against Verona and Cagliari, saving the big guns for Lazio instead.

As said, though, Milan are not alone in having a hectic schedule since this also applies to the other Champions League teams in Serie A (see photo below). Lazio are probably feeling the pressure the most, having started their league campaign in a poor manner.
