Alvaro Morata’s time at AC Milan has already come to a conclusion, and given the Rossoneri have added another striker, it is an understandable move.

Arriving after the conclusion of the European Championship, a champion, Morata’s arrival in Milano would have hopefully signified a chance for the club to continue moving forward. However, he arrived with questions being asked about the move.

The profiles of the Spaniard and other summer targets were much different, so the deal was viewed negatively quickly, and with him failing to hit the ground running, concerns grew.

As the season progressed, talk about the need for another forward presence intensified, and the arrival of Santiago Gimenez was confirmed this morning, but only after news about a potential departure for Morata.

Today, Fabrizio Romano has effectively confirmed that the striker has left the club, stating he is a ‘new Galatasaray’ player already. The deal is ‘set to be sealed’ and his new club are currently in the process of arranging travel from Italy to Türkiye.

Morata’s time at Milan went how no one would have hoped it to, even if the initial reactions were somewhat negative. However, all parties can now hopefully benefit from new starts.

  1. I won’t miss him. He was good for a couple of games. But his constant whining and diving really got on my nerves quickly. He ran a lot but not in the way that was needed.

When his ball controlling started getting worse there was no going back. He just wasn’t good enough to be our star striker.

  2. Never liked him on bit before joining us but whoever joins usually has my support and I do think Morata initially showed great attitude in regard of work ethics so I will commend him for that. Unfortunately he has never been a great goal scoring forward and followed that trend with us as well missing sitter after sitter.
Even though I wont miss him considering he is our highest paid player with not much to show for it I gotta say I’m rather surprised by this sale as its less than a week ago that both he and is ex-wife posted the same pictures suggesting that they might have found back together but now he will apparently move to Turkey 😀

      1. They both posted the exact same picture suggesting that they was back together a few days ago. His ex is Italian so the fact that he is now joining a Turkish club is rather weird considering their own posts regardless whether you can see it or not.
By the way I didn’t write one single offensive or inappropriate thing so how about you cram it

      2. Not to mention that there was an article either here on SempreMilan or Football Italia about the exact matter but sure qqq you are obviously positioned on some moral high ground.

  3. What a waste of a transfer, signed to be our leader, we didnt seen any leadership from him nor goal scoring. There is no doubt he is a quality player but unfortunately for us and him things didnt work out. What im wondering is Gala already has Osihmen & Icardi. He is now 3rd choice there. I hope he does well so his transfer is permanent. That would be the best outcome for both parties.

      1. oh in that case it makes sense. Let’s hope our management were smart enough to include key milestones to make his transfer permanent otherwise he will return in 6 months.

        1. Indeed lets hope so but he might return at the end of the season but on the other hand I doubt Galatasaray will be able to afford buying Osimhen so maybe its in the cards for an Icardi/Morata partnership up front for them next season.

  4. The problem was Morata was never a striker CF. I and a couple of others here told you so. He failed as a striker in every team he was played and the “genius” Moncada somehow thought that this time it will work lol. He is good as a SS only.

    1. He has been successful in that role for Spain. Where he is surrounded by world class wingers and midfielders.

But I agree. It’s never worked well for him at club level.

      1. He wasnt successful in Spain either. Don’t be tricked by Spain general success. I think he scored only 1 goal as a striker in the Euro for Spain.

  5. Absolute clowns
We are extremely thin on the striker department
Should have kept him until the end of the season
Who is going to play if Gimenez gets injured(if he succeeds at all)?

    Hope this report is wrong
I don’t buy the rumours that he left because of Sergio being too harsh, this guy played for Simeone ffs

It’s 100% management using him as a scapegoat for their failures, if he moves to Gala that is
