Shevchenko greets Allegri and players as special guest at Milanello – photos

AC Milan welcomed a special guest to Milanello this afternoon: legendary former striker Andriy Shevchenko.

Shevchenko joined Milan in 1999 from Dynamo Kyiv as a highly rated but still relatively known centre-forward, and he finished as the league’s top scorer in his debut season with an impressive 24 goals.

The Ukrainian scored an incredible 175 goals in 322 appearances and won the following major titles: 1x Champions League title, 1x Serie A title, 1x UEFA Super Cup, 1x Coppa Italia, and 1x Italian Supercup.

Individually, he earned two Serie A top scorer titles, three Champions League top scorer titles, and the Ballon d’Or in 2004. He would also become one of the first few members of AC Milan’s Hall of Fame.

Sheva was a guest at the training ground on Friday to meet the players before their afternoon session two days before the trip to face Lazio at the Stadio Olimpico.
