CM: Shirt value a perfect symbol of Milan’s improving revenues and commercial strategy

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan’s upturn in fortunes on the field has resulted in the club taking strides forward away from the pitch too with revenues continuing to increase.

Calciomercato.com recall that Maikel Oettle was announced as Commercial Director earlier today and he will look to help continue the implementation of the plan from Casper Stylsvig (Chief Revenue Officer) to accelerate the process of acquiring new partners, selling commercial assets including media rights, and generating strategic collaborations for the enhancement of the brand of the club.

Analysts estimate the Milan jersey as being worth €75m (+65% compared to just a year ago) when including the bonuses in deals with sponsors. Emirates will pay around €30m per season as the men’s first team sponsor, as will PUMA, while Wefox (back jersey sponsor) and BitMex (sleeve partner) must be added too.

In the current season, the Rossoneri’s amount of partners rose to 34 in total which cover the sectors of main partner, premium partner, partner and supplier. Further development is connected to the internationalisation of the brand, especially in the Middle East and Asia, where there is a big fan base to be exploited.

    1. Unfortunatly we dont have an oil state self financing our sponsorships to get around FFP like Man City do, and will have to settle for doing business legally.

      1. So we need that. Rich owner 🙂

How could Manchester City get one, and Iconic AC MILAN was almost bankrupt ?
        That is unreal….

        1. Milan doesn’t need rich owner. What they need right now is building their own stadium. From that, they will get better revenue every year which will be very helpful providing budget in transfer market and increase players salary cap!

And in general, Italian federation needs to innovate and makes serie-a better. No investors or rich Arabian sultan wants to invest in Italian club when most it’s like club doesn’t have their own stadium!

        2. Rich owner wouldn’t help us. UEFA already hate Milan no matter who the owner is and would be punished immediately. Milan doesn’t have the “special treatment” that PSG, ManCity, Barca & co. have.

  1. What are you talking about bankruptcy for now? who mentioned bancruptcy? we were talking about shirt sponsorship where I pointed out that Man city sponsorship is self financed and it is done so that they can get around FFP, dont you like hearing the truth? Iconic Milan has 7 CL how many has iconic City got?
