CM: Shirt value a perfect symbol of Milan’s improving revenues and commercial strategy

AC Milan’s upturn in fortunes on the field has resulted in the club taking strides forward away from the pitch too with revenues continuing to increase.

Calciomercato.com recall that Maikel Oettle was announced as Commercial Director earlier today and he will look to help continue the implementation of the plan from Casper Stylsvig (Chief Revenue Officer) to accelerate the process of acquiring new partners, selling commercial assets including media rights, and generating strategic collaborations for the enhancement of the brand of the club.

Analysts estimate the Milan jersey as being worth €75m (+65% compared to just a year ago) when including the bonuses in deals with sponsors. Emirates will pay around €30m per season as the men’s first team sponsor, as will PUMA, while Wefox (back jersey sponsor) and BitMex (sleeve partner) must be added too.

In the current season, the Rossoneri’s amount of partners rose to 34 in total which cover the sectors of main partner, premium partner, partner and supplier. Further development is connected to the internationalisation of the brand, especially in the Middle East and Asia, where there is a big fan base to be exploited.
