A summit held in recent days helped to outline exactly what the management need to do this summer, a report claims.

As reported by Sky, a meeting between Allegri, the CEO Giorgio Furlani and the sporting director Igli Tare took place this week at Casa Milan. They discussed the budget that will be made available for the summer, and how the squad should further evolve ahead of a return to Europe.
The plan is to have young, promising players that are complemented by an equal number of more experienced international-level players ready to contribute immediately.

Calciomercato.com go one further in their report, stating the roles that Allegri sees as being not quite complete in the current squad and that will ideally be filled before the 2026-27 campaign gets underway.

The aforementioned list includes five positions, but we presume that the replacement for Modric is dependant on whether or not he leaves at the end of the season, with a mission underway to get him to remain.

He waNTs. If we switch to 4-3-3, he shouldn’t ask for a left-footed central defender.
They need to get a replacement for Modric regardless.
Hope he stays but he can’t be expected to play every three days at 41.
So Ricci and Jashari, both more than capable and technically good enough to replace Modric, who were also bought for 50+ million euros aren’t enough of replacements. Maybe Allegri should try to get more out of the players he has available, I don’t think he is getting the most out of majority of the team, the players who have done great are the 40 year old Modric, Rabiot, Tomori, Pavlovic and Saelemaekers who just suit the system but personally I don’t want to build the team around any of them for the future. Leao and Pulisic are your major pillars yet you are playing them out of position, you are asking Fofana to be a box crashing midfielder when his best qualities are breaking the lines from deep, you have two really talented young midfielders who can replace Modric yet you are asking for another signing in that position. Allegri has been fantastic for stabilising the team but the ceiling for Milan under him is incredible low, you can’t trust him for the long term
What I have been saying for a while now. Jashari and Ricci are more than capable of replacing Modric, if we are looking for any midfield replacement it should be to deputise or can replace Rabiot and Fofana aside that, any other things is just a waste of resources. In the write up I didn’t see him ask for a defender, let’s assume he wasn’t asking for one in the January Mercato.
The current squad is capable of anything right now but the coach is limited.

Milan only need left back that ready for starter and world class midfielders who can score goals. That’s crucial for 3-5-2 formation

70M come from all the loaned out players we are getting money from: 27 for Chukwuese, 10M for Morata, 10M for Colombo, 7M for Pobega, 3.5M for Terracianno, 11M from Jimenez. Also selling RLC and Estupinan gives us 20M.

Veerman almost joined Fenerba for 25M, Bernabe costs roughly the same. If Zalewski is swapped that leaves 40M from sales for striker.

For all players biggest opportunities are hidden in European matches. So 4 to 5 attackers for this Milan is necessary.
Modric should be used smartly (if stay), only once per week. And if Ricci and Jashari stays, than Modrics back up must be signing similar to Rabiot or Modric purchases…
Strong centre back is something what Milan need for years and years in past.
And we stayed with wing back. If Estupinan stayed with Bartesaghi than obviously Saelemaekers needs some better player than Athekame. Which still can be used as back up.
Last point is sales. Fullkrug in my opinion must leave. Nkunku is big question mark??

And there are loaned players: Chukwueze, Morata, Bennacer must be sold, and players like Musah Bondo and some other youngsters can be loaned out again.
With this “new” Milan you have team and coach who must think very smart. Put focus more on Serie a, and try to win “easy” games in Europe.

I read about Chukwueze in English newspaper. Like, one month ago that other English clubs are interested in Chuku. Me personally would never sell him for less than 22 million euros. In his and Musah case, Milan have 2 years option. So they might be loaned out again. Or even Musah can be kept as Sale or midfield back up….
Bennacer amortization will drop on 1.8 million. So sale for 2 million is enough. Now Milan must find someone who will take him. And Bennacer should be fair to club and leave even for much less salary than he has now.
Morata sale should show some capital gain is dont know for which season.
But Milan now should be more focused on strengthening the team, and not for books in red. 2 season without profit in long term run is better investment than be always focused on positive balance sheet.
There are positions Allegri needs. And then there are positions that management will address that might not necessarily be the ones Allegri needs. LOL!!!

Allegri demand a scoring midfielder. This is a great news .I am happy he is now seeing where one of our major problems is. Salameakers and Fofana are the issues . The worst is Fofana. He may trying in other ways but his scoring ability is zero. Sometimes I wonder whether it doesn’t ashamed of missing some of the astonishing goal scoring opportunities.

The games in which Milan scored 3 goals were all in absence of Leao. Just let that sink in. At this point he should be a rotation player at best, also because of the injury. It’s way too rash to sell a player that has been loyal to Milan for so long, but hopefully he will finally have real competition, which may trigger him to be better

Leao doesn’t fit a 2 man attack. That’s it. He’s not a bad player and is useful in the right setup. The question is what does Max want to do next season? Continue with front two? Then sell Leao and Nkunku get different forwards in. Otherwise get a great 9 and move Leao to the wing where he belongs.
Allegri must see video pioli Milan formation. He know where leao will put in. He’s great with 3 forward and he start as winger. He’s like dribble.
If Tottenham gets relegated Van Der Ven will be available. Other cheaper but very promising central defenders who are left footed are Zeze from Neom SC and Koulierakis from Wolfsburg.
A midfielder that can score goal is a little trickier but the dream would be Milinkovic-Savic. Otherwise Nikola Vlasic have taken big steps and might finish this season with 10 goals in a mediocre team.
As for the central attacker I still believe Guirassy would be the best signing. If Retegui is willing to take a pay cut to come back to serie A thats also a great signing.
The Issue is the formation and who it brings the best out off. Players in the Midfield can always thrive under Alegri but players like Leao who would definitly play at any other team in his position but in alegris formation is nulls all his strengths.
We need to be able to Switch play and tactics. 352 and switched to 442 still wont allow Leao to play to his Strengths unless he is playing as a pure winger in a 442 system.
Puli is more adaptable accross the frontline so its a plus for him and again, the combinations up front make a huge differtence just as we witnessed over the weekend.
Puli x Fulkrug is a good combo and we need to start puting in proper crosses for our #9 to work his strengths.
Fofa will get better and better and next season, i bet he will produce like Kessie use to as he grows.

i mentioned during the transfer window that Benzema was avaialbe even on a one year contract to have that assasin infront of goal which plays directly to our strengths of bieng clinical as we dont create so many chances anymore.
Lets see how it goes in the market but if we get it wrong, we will be destroyed in Europe. There are no teams playing weak in the champions league.

Jimenez and Pulisic are staying in attack. We need another main CF and another SS.
Bart and Salads are staying in defense. They need better competitors than Estupinan and Athekame. Though Athekame is becoming a solid RWB. We need a really strong CB and two wing-backs.
In the middle Rabiot, Fofana, Ricci, and Jashari are staying. We only need a replacement for Modric.
So we need five in total realistically.
