Sky: Abraham rejects two Premier League proposals with Milan move in his sights

By Ben Dixon -

With a third striker in mind, AC Milan are pursuing Tammy Abraham, and following a report, it seems the Englishman is only thinking of a move to the Rossoneri.

It is a summer of change for Milan, and things are being worked on across the pitch, and one department facing significant change is the strike force. After losing Olivier Giroud, additions were going to be made, but there is a chance that the Rossoneri enter the 2024/25 season with a completely new strike force.

Luka Jovic signed an extension at the start of the mercato, however, he could already be heading for the exit, with the Rossoneri considering their options about their arsenal. There is no doubt that Milan want to enter the new season with three strikers, but whether the third striker will be Jovic or Camarda remains to be seen.

Many ideas have been floated across the table, but one has taken the lead in recent weeks, and it seems the last external player they want to add to their No.9 options in this mercato is Tammy Abraham.

Talks between the player and the club have proceeded positively, and there is reportedly a drafted agreement in place. However, a deal must be agreed with Roma still, and Paulo Fonseca is aiming to complete a deal quickly.

According to Sky Sport (via Pianeta Milan), the Englishman has rejected two offers from Premier League clubs because he is open to a move to Milan.

  1. oh no, how can we invite tammy to this forum and let him know we don’t need him. man why will you do this to us rejecting epl 😭😭😭😭.

will you pack your bag and go pls 😂

  2. he has barerly played this season and fonseca wants him? yes he has had 2 good season in his career and thats about it dont get my milan is in love with him the same way as they are in love with royal

  3. I will never understand this. Milan wants to spend money on Abraham and Emerson Royal but not on Fofana who is a much better player and much more needed. Just the 15M Milan is OK with spending for Royal would close the gap for Fofana with Monaco. Not to forget, Fofana has more resale value than either Abraham or Royal so even from the moneyball perspective, it doesn’t make any sense. And we need someone able to play DM now, not later (even though Fofana can be said to not be a true DM, I am quite sure he can play as a DM; at the very least, much better than any of the players currently in our roster).

    1. Milan is not offering more money for Fofana because they value him at a certain price, not because they don’t have the extra money to offer.
And why does Fofana have higher resale value than Abraham and Emerson Royal from the Moneyball perspective? Emerson and Fofana are the same age, while Abraham is a year older.

  4. So the idea is to bring in Abraham and be the second striker, and then have Jovic (who was great off the bench) or Camarda (who will sit and rot on the bench instead of playing and developing) as the third choice striker?

    Completely insane.

    1. Camarda will play and develop in serie C with Milan Futuro.
Anyone who thinks that he is ready to play for the 1st team is insane.
No matter what Milan does in the striker department, Camarda would not be getting playing time with the 1st team.

      1. ^^ this

        He is 16.

He plays a position that means he will get banged on … Alot.

Yamal, et al, are not in the box taking an elbow to th back of th head from a dude 8kg heavier and practice at putting elbows in all the soft places.

Cubarasi at Barça was an exception as a CB.

        Gavi – wing/mid
        Pedri – mid
        Yamal – wing
        Kid at PSG – mid
        Yoro – injured already
        Oscar Bobb – wing

ST, CB and GK require a bit more in the beef and meanness department.

  5. Bet you guys were complaining when Tomori or Theo were brought in too. Have some faith, if you want to follow a team that just throw insane amount of money at every player they can think of just go watch PSG or Man City.

I for one think Abraham can turn out great, it’s risky sure, but if he plays to his potential we’re gonna have one helluva an attack.
