Sky: AC Milan keen on completing ‘inevitable’ €35m exit to sign Spanish starlet

Lucas Paqueta’s adventure at AC Milan could come to an end after just one year. This season, the Brazilian midfielder has had limited playing time, failing to cement himself under both Marco Giampolo and Stefano Pioli.

Speaking live on Sky Italia this evening (via MilanNews.it), Peppe Di Stefano provided us with some updates on Paqueta’s future, as a meeting took place between his agent and Milan this afternoon.

During the meeting, as the reporter explains it, the two parties discussed what has become an ‘inevitable’ exit. However, the high valuation is a big problem. Milan overpaid for him last winter – €35m – and now they want the money back.

The parties are trying to find a solution that can satisfy them both. For the Rossoneri, parting ways with Paqueta would allow them to make an attempt for players on the market, such as Dani Olmo.

The Spanish starlet continues to be on their radar for this transfer window but perhaps also the next one. Today, the name isn’t very hot but it’s a work in progress, as Milan need to sell in order to buy.
