Peppe Di Stefano of Sky Italia has provided us with the latest updates on the Correa negotiations between AC Milan and Atletico Madrid.
Yesterday, the Rossoneri decided to once again negotiate for the Argentine striker, meeting with the latter and his agent. The outcome was indeed positive, and Di Stefano describes it as an agreement in principle.
Should Correa leave the Spanish side this summer, then he will only do it for Milan, despite Monaco’s offer of €55m. Between the two, therefore, he would absolutely prefer the San Siro side. Then again, an agreement is lacking between the clubs.
Meanwhile, Milan intend to lower the price tag by using Correa’s will to join the club as a bargaining chip, ready to spend €35m plus bonuses. Atletico’s request so far has been around €50m, but it’s believed that they could meet in the middle.
