Davide Bartesaghi of AC Milan

Sky: Bartesaghi’s Milan renewal to include a two-year option – the reason

It has already been a memorable past week for Davide Bartesaghi and it could be about to get even better with a new deal imminent, a report claims.

According to Sky (via PianetaMilan), Bartesaghi is heading for a contract extension and his first professional contract with Milan will be until 2026 with a renewal option until 2028 to be signed upon reaching 18.

Due to the fact he is a minor he is subject to different contractual constraints meaning that he can only sign an initial three-year deal. He will turn 18 on December 29 and that is when the extension can be triggered.

The defender has already made two appearances for Milan in this first part of the season. His debut against Hellas Verona at San Siro was followed by a stint played against Cagliari at the Unipol Domus.

As a gesture of faith from the management after getting his first few senior minutes, a new long-term deal awaits.
