Sky: Bennacer and Jovic to be left out vs. Lazio with late transfers possible

Some big news has emerged this afternoon as both Luka Jovic and Ismael Bennacer have left Milanello and will not travel for the game against Lazio tomorrow.

According to Sky (via MilanNews), Jovic and Bennacer have left Milanello. The two players trained regularly and had lunch with Paulo Fonseca’s group, but will not be part of the trip to the capital where Milan will face Lazio tomorrow night, hoping for a first win under the new coach.

Both players are at the centre of speculation regarding their futures, starting with the Serbian. After the arrival of Tammy Abraham, Jovic is no longer the deputy (or potentially even third choice) striker and thus he has been told he can depart.

Meanwhile, the Algerian is in the sights of Atletico Madrid who would like him on loan. That means that something could move on the outgoing front and, consequently, it could also lead to last minute signings.

As we reported earlier today, it seems that Milan want Adrien Rabiot to come in and strengthen the midfield department, with Manu Kone heading for Roma and Geoffrey Moncada known to be a big admirer of his compatriot, who would be available on a free after leaving Juventus.

  1. If Koné is going to Roma, surprised if we’d be open to a Bennacer sale, bearing in mind he’s not going to fetch good money. Guess Fofana, Musah, RLC, Pobega, Reijnders and Zeroli should be enough for those two spots, but feels like a significant downgrade.

      1. I completely missed that loan being finalised!

Makes my point even more so though, if Koné isn’t coming in then Bennacer isn’t going out.

  2. Jovic came on the very last day of the market last year. And if he really goes out on the very day this year, that’ll really be something.

  3. This should be OK for Milan.

If Bennacer go on loan, Milan have space for Rabiot. Still Bennacer is on contract later and could be sold in 2025.
We get Tammy so Jovic sale would be pure art to sell. Because in 2025 Jonathan can arrive for free or some other striker if Tammy fail.

    1. That is unlikely, since Lille will try everything to sell, which might be the time to part with Tammy and get him on 10-12M deal…

      1. Lille would keep him if that’s the best offer, might as well try for Europe if they’re not going to get 20-30 for him. I think at this point it’s more up to whether the player is open to the second or third tiers of Premier League clubs or he’d rather wait a year. Does feel like a shame but clearly it’s not something we’ve pursued this window.

      1. Yeah you well know this because you speak daily with him.Dum muppet…Tonali,Kalulu, now beni they were all forced to leave you muppet because were Maldini’s boys.Open that casket!Next is Hernandez most probably this winter.

      1. We have half a dozen of players we could have offloaded to make space.
I’m still baffled by a management who decided to protect Musah but decided Bennacer isn’t good enough.
        But my bad, I forgot.
Musah has what we call “potential”.
