Sky: Biglia injury means Giampaolo could start Calhanoglu in unusual position
By Oliver Fisher -

Marco Giampaolo has had to make some late changes to his plans for the game against Udinese as Lucas Biglia has reportedly suffered an injury.

Biglia was expected to get the nod over new arrival Ismael Bennacer in the regista role, with the Argentine having spent the whole preseason preparing in training.

However, Sky Italia are reporting that he will now miss the trip to the Stadio Friuli on Sunday evening with an adductor muscle injury.

Rather that risk Bennacer who has had little time to integrate thus far, Giampaolo is expected to field Hakan Calhanoglu at the base of the midfield instead, something which looked possible based on preseason experimentations.

PREDICTED MILAN XI (4-3-3): Donnarumma; Calabria, Musacchio, Romagnoli, Rodriguez; Borini, Calhanoglu, Paqueta; Suso; Piatek, Castillejo.
