Sky: Bundesliga move for midfield outcast now off the cards – Milan could keep him

By Oliver Fisher -

Any chance of Rade Krunic securing a move from AC Milan to SC Freiburg seems to have fallen by the wayside for now, it is claimed.

After a 2019-20 season with little playing time under both head coaches, a number of reports have claimed that Krunic can leave Milan in the summer window if the right offer comes in.

Numerous sources have also claimed that it is SC Freiburg who are the most interested in landing the Bosnia international with a bid totalling €8m having been launched.

However, Sky Italia journalist Gianluca Di Marzio (via MilanNews) is reporting that the track has faded for the time being. Milan asked for time given their commitments in the Europa League and are also thinking of keeping the 26-year-old.

That means that the Bundesliga side have now moved to sign another defensive midfielder in Santamaria, even paying €2m more than they had offered for Krunic.
