Sky: Calhanoglu not convinced by Atletico’s offer – the latest on Milan renewal

By Isak Möller -

Hakan Calhanoglu’s future is yet to be written as his contract with Milan will expire at the end of this month. Though there isn’t an agreement with the Rossoneri yet, he hasn’t received many offers.

According to the latest from Sky Italia, Milan are still in negotiations with Calhanoglu’s agent, Gordon Stipic, regarding the renewal. They have put €4m per year for four years on the table, but this hasn’t pleased the No.10.

On the other hand, the other offers from Atletico Madrid and Al Duhail are not convincing either. In fact, it seems Calhanoglu would prefer to stay at Milan rather than accepting any of these, also given that the Rossoneri’s is the best offer.

The two aforementioned clubs are still in the race for the playmaker, as the report concludes, but the renewal hypothesis is still very much alive. Most likely, we will get a definite answer after the Euros.

  1. Milan has to throw a carrot and stick to the contract. Give him $0.5M more if he signs up by 20th June. After 20th June, the offer reduces by $1M each week until mid July which equals $0.
