Sky: Cardinale and Furlani arrive at Milanello to meet with squad – photo

By Oliver Fisher -

Gerry Cardinale and Giorgio Furlani are both present at Milanello today following the home defeat against Borussia Dortmund which will likely eliminate them from the Champions League.

As Sky reports, Cardinale and Furlani arrived by car at the training ground at around 12:15pm and had lunch with Davide Calabria and his team-mates. It was a way for the management to make their closeness to the coach and team felt.

This is an event, all things considered, that is anything but ordinary because Cardinale rarely enters into the on-field dynamics. Even yesterday, at the end of the match, he did not go to the dressing room to speak with the team.

      1. Pedant.

By your own definition, Pioli can be damaging the club whilst allowing it to continue to exist, so you’re not even a clever pedant.

I was, for some time, in the camp that Pioli should leave at the end of the season, but now I see he will NOT improve, injuries aside he keeps making the same mistakes and excuses, and knowing that there are still a few good managers out there (Hansi Flick and a handful of others), I think that if we don’t create a miracle and qualify for the Round of 16, he MUST go.

Frankly, I’d like to see some of the management replaced, Pioli sacked, and the entire training and medical staff sacked, Maldini returned with an apology and a smile. Then ownership can announce the Winter spending budget, tack on whatever fees we can get for Krunic and a few others, and pray that we can at least earn Champions League football for next year.

  1. If he wants Calabria,Krunkc,Giroud, and Pioli to lead to the Goals of the Team where the Owners wants to be.
Gerdinale is day Dreaming and will see his Projects failed by only one man he pays(Pioli) and his minus Pakyers i mentioned above.
The next mach new coach should lead the team

  2. Really?? They did everything to destroy Milan when fired Maldini and Massara…
Just observe progress of Thuram in Inter…. If Maldini stayed he would sign him…
