Samu Castillejo appears set to leave AC Milan and join up with Gennaro Gattuso at Valencia as a deal has been agreed, reports claim.
Fabrizio Romano confirms the report from his Sky colleague Gianluca Di Marzio in stating that Valencia are now set to sign Castillejo. The winger is wanted by Gattuso as the pair worked together during his time as head coach at Milan in 2018-19.
A deal is already in place with Milan meaning the fee has been agreed, while personal terms have also been sorted between Valencia and Castillejo meaning that the transfer could become official very quickly.
The 27-year-old will join Valencia on permanent basis, and he bid farewell to his team-mates at the end of today’s training session. He will fly to Valencia during the afternoon.
Castillejo joined the Rossoneri from Villarreal back in the summer of 2018 as part of the deal that saw Carlos Bacca go the other way. Over the last couple of seasons the Spaniard has seen his game time decrease, but how he will return home and reunite with his former boss.
So…. How much do you think Milan are paying Valencia to have him? =D
One more name to be added to the loooooooooooooooong list of players who were bought for much bigger price and then sold for peanuts.
…or given free. That was the Galliani’s preferred way of getting rid of useless players. Give ’em for free and tell how much money Milan now saves on the salaries. =D
Again nonsense, he is sold for his value on the balance sheet or more. The goal was not to have a loss on him, if you even understand how it works.
Well, you’re the expert on nonsense as everything you type is just that.
What a relief. At long last!!!
Great profesjonal and nice guy. Never complained – always gave his all on the pitch. All the best to Samu!
Great comment!
Always was there when we needed him
His contribution to the win over Verona will be remembered for long time!
True. Not good enough for Milan on the pitch, but definitely is off the pitch.
