Samuel Chukwueze returned to Milanello from international duty early, due to injury fears, and today, he has partaken in scans. Thankfully, it is good news for AC Milan.
Throughout the international break, there have been suggestions that Christian Pulisic could be among the substitutes when he returned to Milan, given his schedule has been enduring so far, and because of this, Chukwueze was predicted to start against Udinese.
However, the Nigerian winger picked up an injury on international duty, and early reports feared that he had suffered a hamstring injury. Today, tests were scheduled at Milanello to see what damage had been done, and Sky (via Milan News) reported the good news.
The scans have revealed that his injury ‘shouldn’t be anything serious’ and to go one better, he is actually in good condition. For this reason, it seems likely that he should be available for selection on Saturday against the Udine outfit.
Given that Pulisic also returned earlier than anticipated, it is unknown whether the winger will be given the nod to start ahead of the American. With him fit, though, he should play some minutes, especially with the difficult situation he is facing ahead of the January mercato.
Chuk for Udinese, Pulisic to come off the bench.
Then flip it for the Club Brugge match.
One is obviously more important than the other right now.
Oh great, Chuk can play, we’re all set!
Oh wait, Chuk hasn’t done anything right lately. Never mind.
