Sky: Confirmations arrive as Milan captain Romagnoli could start against Lazio

By Isak Möller -

Alessio Romagnoli is back in the squad and is looking to reclaim his starting spot at the back, which he lost to Fikayo Tomori. The captain hasn’t played since the beginning of March, but that could change on Monday.

Milan will take on Lazio away from home and some reports have suggested that Romagnoli could get the chance from start. After poor performances and a few injuries, he will be eager to prove his worth to the management.

These reports were confirmed by Peppe Di Stefano of Sky Italia, as cited by MilanNews, who said that Stefano Pioli could make the switch. Tomori made two crucial mistakes against Genoa and Sassuolo, meaning his spot is at risk.

Either way, the return of Romagnoli could bring some positives as he knows his teammates very well. Furthermore, he will be hungry to show that he deserves a spot in this team, which should only benefit Milan.
