Sky: De Ketelaere to play from start in Milan’s clash against Verona

Charles De Ketelaere has had a very tough first season at AC Milan, failing to find the back of the net, and only one game remains. A game in which, however, he will get the chance from start.

Milan paid €35.5m for the Belgian playmaker last summer and with that price tag, the expectations were high. 37 games in, the youngster hasn’t found the back of the net and only has one assist to his name.

According to the latest from Peppe Di Stefano of Sky, as cited by Radio Rossonera, De Ketelaere is expected to play from the first minute against Verona on Sunday. It won’t make much of a difference in general, but breaking the goal drought would obviously boost his confidence.

Milan could consider a sale, as was reported by Tuttosport earlier today, but the offer has to be the right one. A strong performance on Sunday could perhaps hint about his future at the club.
