Sky: Defender ‘open to the move’ as Milan and Barcelona continue negotiations

By Isak Möller -

Milan are looking for full-back options on the market as Diogo Dalot has returned to Man Utd, while Andrea Conti and Diego Laxalt are expected to leave. Contacts are already underway with Barcelona, a report claims.

For the left-hand side, the Rossoneri have seemingly set their sights on Junior Firpo. The 24-year-old made just seven appearances in La Liga this past season and a loan move could perhaps be the right step for his career.

Speaking live on Sky Italia this evening, as cited by MilanNews, Gianluca Di Marzio shared an update on Firpo’s future and the interest of Milan. Based on his words, the will of both parties is to reach an agreement for the transfer.

“A lively, very lively interest, more and more alive. Contacts continue. Milan want him and the player is open to the move. They are trying to find the solution for the formula with Barcelone. He would arrive on loan,” the journalist stated.

For the right-hand side, it seems Dalot is still an option but Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara are surely following other profiles as well. Either way, they have made it very clear that they will reinforce the squad this summer.
