Sky: Defender Real Madrid paid €30m for becomes Milan’s priority as Man Utd play hardball

By Oliver Fisher -

It seems that AC Milan have now turned to a Real Madrid full-back after getting nowhere in talks over Diogo Dalot, according to a report.

Gianluca Di Marzio spoke to Sky Italia (via MilanLive) about the Milan market and revealed that the most concrete target for the position of right-back is no longer Dalot, because Manchester United are not offering any discounts on their valuation and are actually pushing for a loan with obligation to buy, making the negotiation even more problematic.

The requests from the Premier League have therefore led the Rossoneri management to shift their sights and give priority to another profile, namely Alvaro Odriozola of Real Madrid. The 25-year-old is set to become part of wider talks which also involve the return of playmaker Brahim Diaz.

Los Blancos bought Odriozola in the summer of 2019 from Real Sociedad for €30m and he is under contract until June 2024, with Milan aiming to convince the LaLiga giants over a loan with option to buy formula.
