Sky: Diaz remains ahead of Krunic – the latest on Milan’s XI for Cagliari clash

By Isak Möller -

Despite picking up a knock during today’s training session, Brahim Diaz is in pole position to start in the No.10 role against Cagliari tomorrow. It won’t be the only change to the XI, as a report claims.

In the last few games, Franck Kessie has been the preferred choice for the No.10 role but that will change tomorrow. As reported by Sky Italia (via MilanNews), Sandro Tonali will be on the bench (due to just recovering from fever) and that will change things.

Kessie will be dropped down to the midfield tandem, while Diaz should get the nod from the first minute in the attacking trio. He received a knock during today’s training session but appears to be fine, thus putting him ahead of Rade Krunic in the pecking order.

Up front, Olivier Giroud will be the starting striker but Zlatan Ibrahimovic could make a longer appearance off the bench, having improved his physical condition.
