Sky: Five Milan players returning to Milanello tomorrow ahead of Fiorentina clash

Five AC Milan players are set to return to Milanello on Thursday to begin preparations for the Serie A match against Fiorentina at the weekend.

As has been reported by Sky Sport Italia’s Peppe di Stefano (via Milan News), there will be a handful more Milan stars at training on Thursday with Luka Jovic, Tijjani Reijnders, Mike Maignan, Theo Hernandez and Olivier Giroud all returning from international duty.

The main focus for Milan during the international break has been the future of Giroud, who seems set to leave the club on a free transfer for Los Angeles FC.

He was one of the French scorers in Tuesday’s 3-2 win against Chile, in which Hernandez grabbed an assist for Paris Saint-Germain’s Randal Kolo Muani. France’s first match was a 2-0 loss at home against Germany in which none of Hernandez, Giroud or Maignan started.

It was a mixed break for Jovic’s Serbia as they were beaten 4-0 by Russia, but then beat Cyprus 1-0. Jovic did not find the back of the net in that game.

Things were more successful for Reijnders, who scored a great goal in the Netherlands’ 4-0 win over Scotland. He also started the match away at Germany but that ended 2-1 to the home team.
