Sky: Furlani will arrive in Dubai next week – first outing as Milan CEO

Giorgio Furlani will make his first public appearance as the AC Milan CEO next week in Dubai, expected to arrive in the middle of the week. And he has some big shoes to fill. 

The 43-year-old was announced as the new CEO one month ago, taking over from Ivan Gazidis who went from heavily criticised to loved by the fans. Furlani, as much, has some big shoes to follow and it won’t be an easy task.

As per Sky Italia, he will arrive in Dubai in the middle of next week and it will be his first public appearance as the Milan CEO. In addition to enjoying the weather, he will surely have one or two corporate meetings.

A new agreement with Emirates is looming, as the current deal will expire in 2023, and Furlani will surely meet them during his time in Dubai. The new deal could be worth as much as €30-35m per year until 2028 (compared to €14.5m per year right now).
