Sky: Gazidis denied contacts with Rangnick in meeting with Milan squad

Present at today’s training session at San Siro, CEO Ivan Gazidis spoke to the Milan squad ahead of tomorrow’s clash against Genoa. The chat lasted for about ten minutes and touched on some very important topics.

According to the latest reports from Peppe Di Stefano of Sky Italia (via MilanNews.it), Gazidis announced that Zvonimir Boban no longer is part of the Rossoneri project, following his words against the club last week.

The former Arsenal director stressed that he hasn’t spoken to Maldini and Massara yet, making sure that the club remains strong on a corporate level. Furthermore, he declared Stefano Pioli has their full support and maximum trust.

However, above all, he denied any contacts with Ralf Rangnick. The German has been heavily linked with the managerial position at the club but by the looks of it, Pioli will get the chance to prove himself until the end of the season.
