Sky Germany: Milan one of multiple clubs pursuing deal for Dortmund star

AC Milan are one of many top European clubs that are exploring the possibility of signing Karim Adeyemi from Borussia Dortmund this summer.

As reported by Sky Germany, the Rossoneri have joined the likes of Chelsea, Liverpool and Juventus in the chase for the German youngster who can play a number of attacking roles.

Adeyemi was part of the Dortmund squad that made it to the final of the Champions League last season against Real Madrid but they were beaten by the Spanish side.

Adeyemi is undoubtedly talented but he has been very inconsistent since he arrived at Dortmund and the belief is that a bid of around €30m would be enough to get the player.

Dortmund paid €30m to Red Bull Salzburg for Adeyemi in 2022 so they are potentially on their way to making a loss for the attacker if they are forced into a cheaper sale.

Last season, Adeyemi scored three goals and provided one assist in 21 Bundesliga matches. In the Champions League, he scored two goals in twelve matches and provided another assist.

Adeyemi is certainly not a conventional centre-forward and would likely not be a replacement for Olivier Giroud, so Milan would still be searching for a striker.

      1. Marketwerk 47 million!! Apparently that’s his market value from the picture. Didn’t read the rest. But he isn’t worth 30 million either

  1. Those who think this guy isn’t good clearly haven’t watched him play except maybe seen him miss a few chances here and there because of a poor first touch. It’s even surprising that €30m is being quoted for a player of his caliber and not €60m. True we don’t need him but if the price is actually €30m and we can talk it down to €25m then I think it’s a steal. The guy tracks back and actually works for the team but it’s probably just rumours and nothing serious.

    1. if he is so good etc why is bvb willing 2 sell? they’re not exactly stacked on the wings with talent or exp atm

  2. He’s similar to Okafor. One of those x factor players though much faster. But he hasn’t progressed as much since his breakout a couple years ago. I guess that’s why bvb wants to offload

  3. He’s only 22, I would go for him. Try getting him on a discount. Milan missed out on Xavi Simmons and look at him now.

  4. Receiving €30M for a player two years after spending €30M for that player is not a loss. In fact, it’s a €12M profit for FFP purposes when you factor in amortization over the 5-year contract.

  5. guys u dumb as hell adeyemi would be the best backup for leao hes the reason bvb went that far in cl this gotta to be fake coz this management stop caring about closing deals or wanted to sign better players and apparently young players anymore more. this is ac targeting or better yet ac chelsea atm
