Santiago Gimenez won’t pack his bags before the end of the summer transfer window, according to a report, as AC Milan have decided to reject any offers that might arrive.
In the last week or so, there have been many reports suggesting that Gimenez could leave Milan, just six months after joining the club. However, the striker himself sent a clear message earlier today and the Rossoneri’s stance has also been revealed.

According to Manuele Baiocchini of Sky Italia (via Gianluca Di Marzio), the Mexican striker won’t leave the club in the final days of the transfer window. Milan want depth in attack and thus consider the player to be a big part of making that happen.
Indeed, as the journalist continues, the idea is to always have two strikers at Max Allegri’s disposal. Victor Boniface’s arrival could subsequently open up for a third striker to arrive, as the Bayer Leverkusen man will be at the AFCON with Nigeria between December and January.
Gimenez is playing from start in Milan’s game against Cremonese tonight and with a strong performance, perhaps including a goal contribution, he could further cement his spot in the team. Then again, he won’t be sold by the club even if tonight is a disappointment.

Gimenez flanked by Leao and Puli from the wings is the way to go.
Dont know who thought we were genuinely gonna get rid of him. If we end up playing 2 up top, we’re woefully under staffed, and need preferably a backup for each forward. We just sold Okafor and leao is injured again, so we genuinely have 1 CF right now. We are in big need of depth up top
Gimenez is Milan’s only 9 in the team. I can’t imagine management selling him, even if Boniface arrives. Seems like a far fetched theory.
Gimenez Is useless, can’t control a ball if his life depends on it… another fantastic piece of rubbish brought by this management
