Sky: Giroud fit for the derby but Kalulu faces will be re-evaluated in 10 days

By Oliver Fisher -

Olivier Giroud will be available for the derby against Inter at San Siro tomorrow evening, a report claims, but Pierre Kalulu will not.

According to the latest update from Sky (via MilanNews), Giroud also trained with the rest of the squad today after doing so yesterday and he will therefore be available to Stefano Pioli for tomorrow’s game against Inter.

However, Pierre Kalulu will not be there as he underwent an MRI which revealed a small lesion to the rectus femoris muscle of his left thigh. The French defender will be re-evaluated in about ten days, and he will be out of the next three fixtures at least.

That means Simon Kjaer is almost certain to start as the centre-back alongside Malick Thiaw, given that Pierre Kalulu was sent off against Roma and must serve a one-game suspension. Tomori will be back for the midweek Champions League game against Newcastle Untied.
