Striker Olivier Giroud will soon extend his contract with AC Milan for another season, according to a report.
According to reports from Sky (via PianetaMilan), at the beginning of next week the official announcement should arrive regarding Giroud’s extension, given his current contract with Milan will expire on June 30th.
The French centre-forward was one of the great protagonists of the Scudetto victory last season and has scored some very important goals since joining from Chelsea, and the parties are happy to continue together for at least another year.
The same source reported that relegation-threatened Everton tried to turn Giroud’s head in January by offering him a contract worth a rather huge £8.5m net per season.
However, the Rossoneri were quick to block the advances of the Toffees and Giroud himself also promptly made it clear that he would not be interested in leaving Milan for Liverpool.
