There are two bits of good news regarding AC Milan’s injury situation but also two bits of bad news, according to a report.
Sky Italia (via MilanNews) are reporting that Zlatan Ibrahimovic has recovered and for the first time today he underwent a training session with the rest of the group.
It was not a particularly intense one because of the game last night, but Alexis Saelemaekers was also involved. To know if he will be available for the game against Genoa we will have to wait for tomorrow’s training session.
Pioli was forced into an early change less than five minutes in last night when Matteo Gabbia went down after a challenge for a loose ball and he was unable to continue, meaning Pierre Kalulu came on for his Serie A debut.
There were yet more injury problems for Pioli to deal with as Bennacer limped off 15 minutes from time, replaced by Sandro Tonali.
Sky adds that Gabbia and Bennacer will do tests in the afternoon and there is some concern. The Algerian has sustained a strain to the right thigh flexor while for Gabbia there is the need to find out if he has any ligament damage.
Simon Kjaer is better but not 100% yet and has been training in the gym. His presence against Genoa is unlikely.
