Sky: Good news for Milan as Rebic returns to training – will be called up for Udinese clash

By Isak Möller -

Back in the second round of Serie A, when Milan beat Crotona by two goals to nil, Ante Rebic suffered an elbow dislocation and immediately started what turned out to be a long recovery. Now, however, he’s back.

According to Sky Italia, as cited by MilanNews.it, Rebic took part in the entire training session this morning and will be called up for the Udinese game on Sunday. It remains likely, though, that he will spend most of it on the bench.

Although Rafael Leao and Brahim Diaz have done well enough to stand in for him, the Croatian has been missed on the left flank. Having been out for so many weeks, he himself will be eager to return to top form once again.

After some initial struggles, therefore, Stefano Pioli now has many players to rely on. COVID can strike at any time, though, as we saw with JP Hauge and Gigio Donnarumma which is unsettling for the manage.
