Sky: Good sign for Milan as a number of players report to Milanello despite it being a rest day

An even greater indication arrived on Monday afternoon that this group of players are determined to try and achieve something special.

Yesterday’s victory over Fiorentina allowed Milan to move five points clear at the top of the Serie A table after nine rounds of action, and it is custom for the team to have a rest day after a match.

However, as Sky Italia’s Peppe Di Stefano is reporting (via MilanLive), even today players who were not expected to show up to Milanello arrived to keep working.

It was expected that only injured players – i.e. those undergoing recovery therapies for their respective physical and muscular problems – would be at the Carnago sports centre.

Nonetheless, a large part of Pioli’s squad was present on the field led by captain Alessio Romagnoli. This is of course an excellent sign from the players, who preferred to skip a day off to continue working as a team.

It is a clear message to rival clubs too, that Milan are working cohesively as a group and are united now more than ever.
