Sky: Centre-back and striker opportunity – how Milan are aiming to complete the squad

CEO Giorgio Furlani is still hard at work fielding calls and evaluating various ways that the AC Milan squad can be strengthened further.

Peppe Di Stefano spoke live on Sky (via Radio Rossonera) this evening, and he confirmed that Furlani was on the fourth floor Casa Milan today, because the meetings and negotiations on the market are continuing.

The management are still looking for a central defender and the name Marco Pellegrino from Club Atletico Platense was specifically mentioned by the journalist as being a target.

As far as the attacking department is concerned, it is numerically complete at present. However, the possible loan of Lorenzo Colombo and the sale of Divock Origi could allow Milan to shore up the attack.

It is ‘not certain’ that another striker will arrive. Milan are trying to verify through calls and enquiries what kind of possibilities there are to try to sign another striker who is an alternative to Olivier Giroud.

In that case, Okafor would be the alternative on the left wing, although he can still play centrally too.
