Sky journalist reveals Ibrahimovic is showing ‘a different attitude’ to the Milan squad

Sky journalist Peppe Di Stefano has claimed that Zlatan Ibrahimovic has changed his attitude towards the AC Milan squad, having realised that a different approach is needed given the mood around the team.

There are a number of different factors that are contributing to an overall pessimistic feeling going into the first derby of the season, such as the fact that Milan have won one of five games to begin 2024-25 and there is talk of Paulo Fonseca already losing his job.

On top of that there is the speculation that Ibrahimovic and Fonseca are not on good terms, while the public spat between the Swede and Zvonimir Boban has not helped things, nor have things such as the cooling break saga involving the two big stars.

Di Stefano spoke this afternoon from Milanello about the mood of the team in view of tomorrow night’s derby against Inter and Ibrahimovic’s approach, with his comments via MilanNews.

“From what we understood after the recent statements, Zlatan took a step back and showed up at Milanello with a different attitude, a tone and a much more understanding approach with the players,” he said.

“He had individual chats with several players such as Theo and Maignan, and probably understood that the approach to a wounded team had to be different.

“Milan needs a totem like Maldini, Berlusconi or Galliani over the years, a point of reference. In the last few days we have seen a much more involved Ibra.”
