Sky: Ibrahimovic and Maldini to attend Saudi Arabia Grand Prix

Zlatan Ibrahimovic could well end up meeting up with Paolo Madlini over the weekend at the Saudi Arabia Grand Prix, according to a report.

The two never played together and missed each other by just a year in the end, as Maldini retired from playing football in 2009 after spending his whole career with Milan, then Ibrahimovic arrived in 2010 and left in 2012 before returning in 2019. He currently works as an advisor.

As reported by Sky, the two will be present in Saudi Arabia this weekend to attend the Jeddah Grand Prix, the second of the F1 World Championship after the one in Bahrain won by Max Verstappen of Red Bull.

There will be a number of other personalities from the football world there too, as often happens at showpiece events in the Middle East like this. Patrice Evra, Gianluigi Buffon, Karim Benzema and Roberto Firmino should also be there, as well as many celebrities from other walks of life.

As a flashback to the end of last season, Ibrahimovic retired from football after the final game against Verona and less than 48 hours after the emotional farewell, Maldini and Ricky Massara were sacked as the technical and sporting director, arousing questions about the plans moving forward.
