Sky: Ibrahimovic’s red card invokes furious reaction from Donnarumma – what he said

By Isak Möller -

Zlatan Ibrahimovic was sent off by Fabio Maresca in Milan’s encounter with Parma last night and many were surprised afterwards, when they heard the words of the Swede. A red card, in fact, didn’t seem justified.

Ibrahimovic simply told the referee ‘it seems strange that you don’t listen to me’, which you can read more about here. The referee must have misheard him as he handed out the red card straight after, perhaps hearing ‘sei un bastardo’ (you are a bastard).

As reported by Sky Italia (via Football Italia), Ibrahimovic wasn’t the only one confused by the decision as Gigio Donnarumma was furious with Maresca. He also made his voice heard quickly, sharing a few well-chosen words.

“Maresca what are you doing? You always want to be the protagonist,” he stated.

It remains to be seen what Maresca put in his report, as the sporting judge will make a decision on the matter on Tuesday. Perhaps the referee will admit that it might have been a misunderstanding between the two.
